About Troop 80

Located in Mechanicsburg PA, Troop 80 holds meetings at the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church on Sundays at 4:00pm. The troop currently has 26 scouts and 9 adult leaders who support three patrols. This is a scout-led troop that focuses on using fun outdoor activities to teach skills and gain leadership experience. If you are interested in troop 80, you are welcome to attend any troop meeting. Upcoming Activities

Bounce FunPlex (Jan 21st) - Canceled: Because of the winter storm and the projected continued snow and freezing rain this morning, we are going to cancel the bounceplex for today. We will reschedule but we don't have a new date. We will work on those arrangements and provide everyone with an update.

The Bounce Funplex outing is scheduled for Saturday, January 21st. We will be bouncing from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We will meet at the church leave between 9:15 & 9:30 am and return around 3:00 pm. You will not be able to jump if the waiver is not completed and turned in. Scouts without an accompanying parent will need to also bring a copy of their parent's drivers license. If the weather is too bad, then the event will be rescheduled.

Sixteen (16) Boy Scouts and eleven (11) adults have signed up. Additionally twenty-five (25) Cub Scouts from Packs 80 and 196 are also signed up. We will be purchasing the Birthday Party Package, which is $185 for the first 10 'bouncers' and $17 for each additional. This includes pizza and a drink. The Troop will provide Birthday for all (it's Mr. Philp's birthday).

For the Boy Scouts the cost will be $10, payable to the Troop. The fee for any adults or sibling that participate (i.e., bounce) is $17 if they way want to participate in the Birthday Party package or $8.00 per hour if the just want to jump. There is no fee for spectators. Any food/drink not in the Party package will be at you own cost. The Boy Scouts and adults are listed below.

Tour Information Sheet Bounceplex Waiver

Cross Vista Game Night (Jan 27th) - Our first service project for 2012 will be a game night at the cross vista house on January 27th. During this service project, troop members play games, award prizes and share snacks with the residents. This is always a fun and fulfilling time. The tentative time is set for 6:00pm.
